I know, Roff, reporting that makes no sense. But as the seller asks for a starting bid of US$ 3,000 and a BIN of 3,600, maybe a potential buyer would look in this forum before he grabs it ?

The dial has been redone (look at the B on Breitling) and the seller describes the watch as having a double caseback. Double casebacks were used on gold watches when the gold back was very thin (to reduce cost) and a steel back was needed underneath the gold one for integrity of the case. Breitling never used double casebacks because their gold cases were thick enough to not require it.

hey, saved somebody form paying about US$ 3,000 more than the underlying Chronographe Suisse was worth ! Great.
