I was going back and forth between a CSO and a Chrono Cockpit w/bronze dial. I was having a hard time so I solicited help from the forums. After doing a little research I happened across this pre-owned beauty and bought it this week - 40% off retail!! 8)

Great watch - very classy! Sounds like you got a pretty good deal on it as well.

Two-tone isn't my favorite but the Cockpit pulls it off well.

Probably my favorite dressier Breitling. The old -dial is where its at, and the bracelet....well that is icing on the cake.

That is a beauty. Congrats, love the big date too. I'll never understand why Breitling discontinued this model, especially with that dial and not the one with the square in the middle of it.

That's a model I've always appreciated a lot. It's classic. Shame its discontinued. Enjoy it and wear it well. FYI, it would look absolutely astonishing on a brown croc strap :poke:

Thanks all for the positive comments, I'm pretty psyched about finding this one!

I hear you and Tazman about the two-tone. I never thought I'd go for two-tone anything as I am pretty much not into wearing any gold. However, I took a look at this after seeing the same watch on these boards with a MOP dial and I was like, "Ooooh yeah!!"

Yeah, you know, I was kinda leaning to the brown croc, or even the brown leather strap, but I'm totally cool with the Pilot. Maybe at some point I'll switch it in for a bit of a change, but I feel like I'd have to upgrade the suits first! They're already out classed big time by the Ling as is!

And now that I got it, I'm cool with the fact it was discontinued. Once you're a member of the club, you don't want anyone else let in!! :D

As already stated I too have never been a fan of the gold/stainless combo but this is beautiful. Really love the face with the twin date window. Enjoy and post more of these outstanding photo's.
Best health, Frank

Absolutely beautiful, and I think you'll find this a lot more versatile in terms of wear than the model you were looking at originally. Congrats on the good deal, and health to wear and enjoy! :)
