Might I have some recourse if I never was notified that I needed a 5 yr service? I'm pretty sure they never contacted me about that.

Did you read the documentation that came with your watch?

I don't remember and I thought I still had the original box it came it can't seem to find it at this moment. I do know that the yellow perforated little folder that came with is in possession of my jeweler. They offered to old onto it for me.

Hi All,

I went on the Britling site to see prices of maintenance, but I am a bit confused as there are several prices. For a Bretling Bentley GT, what price am I looking at? Thanks much in advance and sorry for my ignorance...still trying to learn the game :-)

Based on the newly increased prices - $560.

Thanks.

:wowzers

Trying to work on a deal for one, though it's works fine, but it's around 6 years old, so I must take that into consideration to see if it's worth it for me.

For some reason, I doubt that Breitling is nickel and diming people to death on services. 300 $ - 500$ for a service cannot represent a large profit for the actual amount of skilled labor that goes into an overhaul. Breitling is not insideously plotting to sqeeze every penny from you.

In the end, you get what you pay for. I'd bite the bullet and feel comfortable with the fact that your watch has been overhauled with genuine Breitling parts and will run smoothly for the next 5-10 years.

I ditto this comment. I don't know of any repair shop with skilled workers and special equipment that can afford to charge less than $100 - $125 an hour and up for service. It takes special care to maintain fine things. In any case, there are videos at the Breitling site that explain the services. http://www.breitling.com/service/
