Well I'm sure that Fleetlord was trying to provoke a response as is common with his posts, but in terms of necessary, we have to assume that Breitling produces watches that are designed to increase sales and for a model to be considered necessary all it has to do is generate a big enough net increase in Breitling sales to cover costs (i.e. enough people buy this who would not have bought a Breitling (or another Breitling) otherwise).

Based on the consensus positive reactionon here I would say that this model is destined to achieve that goal.

I just don't get it. What makes it different than any other ETA based chrono in the Breitling lineup? It's redundant.

It "looks" ok though. I do like the black date wheel. Any idea how much?

One thing it does is add another auto to the professional lineup that only has skyracers with rubber bezels (orange, red, black) since the regular skyracer has been discontinued. I also seem to recall a couple people saying that they liked the new chronospace and would have liked to see one with an auto movement, I'm not saying that that really means anything, but I can see that there might be a market for them.

I personally wouldn't buy it, but it's a nice looking model.

Pulling up an old thread rather than starting a new one.

Does anyone know how often Chronospace Automatics show up in the pre-owned market? I'm thinking of sizing up from a 41 mm Navi and I like the look of the Chronospace Auto. It also seems that this is one that has quality fakes that show up quite frequently?

Fake's not that good compared with some models

Check eBay for frequency of items, the completed listings will give you some idea. You may have to wait a while but it's not going to be months or years.
