Anybody planning on getting one? I've been waiting for this to come out for over a year but now I don't know if I want the iPhone or a Droid. Anybody have both? Which do you prefer?

I'm going to wait for the 2nd edition iPhone is released on Verizon which is expected sometime over the summer. Droids are great but I am a big fan of the iPhone.

I'll get one. Pity it's not 4G or a world phone but I'll upgrade when it comes out.

Wife has a Droid and loves it. I can't stand the thing myself. I'm too used to iPhone way of doing things from having an iPod Touch.

I have no issues with At&t service so I'll stick with them. Plus, you can talk and surf at the same time - not so on Verizon.

I heard the updated iPhone is coming in June for AT&T but verizon has to wait a year from this release for the update.

I've heard about the talking and surfing thing, not something I'm too worried about, I hadn't heard of Verizon having to wait a year for the next gen iPhone though, where did you see that? It looks like I'll be using my wife's old Droid II, she just got the X, until the next iPhone comes out anyway, I'm not dropping $700 for a phone, which is what it would cost for me to get an iPhone now. I don't care what it can do. Hopefully the next gen iPhone for Verizon will be on their 4g network too.

I think I read it on Macworld.com. It was an article reviewing the verizon iPhone before it was out. I just found it. I think I got it wrong. What they said was that the iPhone 5 will most likely be out this summer. So if you get the verizon phone now you'll have to wait to upgrade.

Well that's awesome, hopefully I'll be able to upgrade to the iPhone 5 in the summer, unless I like the Droid too much. Does the iPhone have navigation? That might be a deal breaker for me if it doesn't, I have the worst sense of direction on earth.

I'm sticking with the Droid.

Besides, Steve Jobs is the anti-Christ. I heard it was just decoded in one of the Nostradamus quatrains.

Maps has directions -- not really a navigation, but the gps will show you were you are on the map. There's a $2.00 gps app that I have but never really used.

I just can't wait -- I have the 3gs now. The screen on the 4 is sooo much clearer but I want at least 64gigs. I'm out of contract next month. If the 5 has 64 gigs I'm getting it.
