I'm new to this watch stuff and as long as my watch shows the correct time at "quitting" time, I'm happy.

I see members saying that thier watches will gain or lose 3,4,5 seconds a day. How can you tell? What are they comparing it against? Is there some standard clock everyone is using?

TIA,
Mike the Confused

Either that or with an atomic clock/watch. At least that's how I do it.
