Hey all. As u can tell from the "headline". I'm pretty sure ups lost my bentley. And as I been tracking the package for the past week, it came all the way from Sweden to Ontario Canada. I called ups yesterday (Wednesday) to see what duties are goin to be and they said $800. Fair enuf. So my item is to delivered to me by 7pm today (Thursday). 7:15 comes by and nothing still. So I go back on the website and it says I recieved my item! Like WTF?

By now I'm all confused. So I call ups and they say the same thing I see on my computer. They say I'm goin to have to contact the shipper for him to report a dispute.

Anyone every have this problem? What do I do next?

If it was sent with a signature required at delievery, ask to see the signature.

Well it's sappose to be signature required and on the website says it was signed by "BD". Nobody in my household has that initials lol. Plus wouldn't they want their $800 that I owe them to duty fees?? That $800 still in my pocket.

You're going to have to file a claim and go from there. I have REAL bad neighbors, (fights in the road, threatening me, you get the picture,) and I saw the UPS man deliver a package of mine to their house. Saw it on my security camera. Now I have stipulated in the UPS system "brown brick house" with my address. It will take some time but you should eventually get your problem solved. Good luck.

Wow that sucks! I've never had it happen on a signature delivery. They left a Land's End shipment of about 10 dress shirts and 10 T-shirts at my doorstep couple weeks before Xmas when they get swamped - gone. Gotta love Lands End - exact items arrived 2 days later after a 30 second phone call. But I digress....as per usual

Well that sucks man.

You may also have to consider this: maybe "BD" got himself a brand new Breitling for Bentley 6.75 for $800

David, you have a few updates in your PM box. No solution yet though I'm afraid.

Quite troublesome and UPS are searching all they can for the moment. But regarding claims, I was just told by UPS that during the first 24 hours after a indicated delivery both origin and destination can make the claim, after 24 hours (which it haven't been yet) only the shipper can claim.

However, I really hope this resolves quickly and happily.

That blows chunks! I hope you get resolution. On a side note, a few years ago I had ordered a new laptop from Dell and it required signature. When the tracking showed delivery had occurred and I still didn't have my computer I contacted both Dell and the shipping co. (DHL) and they initiated a search. The driver was sent to backtrack the package but had no success finding it. I guess he couldn't remember the house he took it to. I never found out what happened but I suspect it was delivered to a different street with the same house number as mine. It took about week but I got another laptop.

Well the good thing about it is that ups is being professional about it. They says investigation will take about 10 days. After that I get my money back. Whoever has my bentley got it for free. Didnt have to pay the $800 duty fee.

As much as it sucks they lost your watch at least they're manning up about it. Good luck, I hope everything works out for you.

that's my biggest fear when sending my watch in for servicing. I hope you get your watch back.

You might consider requesting that UPS hold it for you at the dispatching center. That way, you can go pick it up yourself, and you don't have to worry about it being delivered to the wrong place. I did that once when I needed the item first thing that day and didn't have time to wait for delivery, but it seems to me it would work for ensuring valuable items don't get lost, too.
