Hi guys.

Ive just purchased a b4b mark vi off eBay. I know for a fact that the watch is 100% legit. I jut received it in the mail today but there's 1 major problem. It's not working! This is only my second breitling so I'm not too familiar with these watches yet.

How do I check to see if I still have warranty on it still? The registration card is blank and the warranty book doset have a sale date on it.

What to do? I'd hate to return it cuz I got it for a good deal. But maybe too good to be true?

Any help is appreciated

If you know where the watch was first sold - which should be on the warranty book, then the national distributor for that market should be able to assist. You can also check the manufacture date with the code between the 6 o'clock lugs (first 4 digits are week and year of manufacture), but of course that is only proof if it was manufactured less than two years ago.

What specifically is wrong with the watch?

Well the basically the time dosent work. I pulled the crown out and turned it 40 times and still didn't work. I can set the time to whatever I like. But once I screw the crown back in, nothing happens. The time stays the same.

Well hang on, you shouldn't be pulling the crown out to wind it.

Unscrew the crown and then wind it in the position that it is in - don't pull it out further. Also, it may just be out of beat, so after winding try rotating the watch through 360 degrees as you look at it (i.e. move the crown from 3 to 6 to 9 to 12 and then back to 3) and see if that starts it. Look at the running seconds obviously as the most obvious indication.

Finally if none of that works start the chrono and see if that makes any difference.

Sorry. I ment unscrew. Not pull. Which I did unscrew.
Okay so none of that works. And what or where is the chrono?

I also suggest that if you got a manual with it that you read it. Not only will it tell you what the chrono(graph) is, it will provide some important information about time and date setting.

This is good reading, and a great example of the quality of folks on this forum.
