I agree with you on that part - I really on't care about that.
What's bugging me is the missing plastic sticker on the caseback. Was this watch DOA and repaired? that's the mystery.
When I called on Saturday, there were none available. they were on order. I was notified on Tuesday that the shipment just arrived and such. Again, the salesman had no idea why it arrived that way.

I'm gonna let it go because the watch is fine, runs within 3 secs a day, and it's under full warranty.
Just one of those quirks - you know?

You aren't listening. Sometimes the caseback plastic gets taken off. Usually it is there, but it means NOTHING if it is not. Certainly not even a remote indication the watch was repaired. There is no mystery - it means nothing.

Yea, don't worry about it. Some come with, some come without the caseback protector plastic. Dealers sometimes take them off so they can read the SN more assuredly. They usually leave the plastic protector on the buckles though as those are really prone to scratching while on display or handling. I'm sure your watch was a virgin when it arrived.

Sounds like the issue is settled, but I'll still add my experiences to the data pool. I bought a Chronomat from Costco that came with the bezel protector, protective stickers on the the bracelet, but without the caseback sticker or the little plastic tag on a string. I ordered a Chrono Superocean from Govbergs that had no bezel protector or sticker on the caseback, but it did have the tag and the protective stickers for the bracelet. George told me it was on display, but had been in the store less than ten days, and was pristine. He was right, and I've never had any qualms about it.

I bought 3 Breitlings, all from the same AD, all new, no bezel protectors, no stickers on the back. If they were there to begin with, whoever set and wound the watch probably removed them without giving it a second thought. Perhaps so you would receive the watch "ready to wear."

So yesterday I was unpacking and checking in some watches that got delivered to the store from Busa. 2 of them were identical watches. Both b01 navi limited editions. Both black on black calf. The same exact watch. One had a bezel protector, one didn't. So it looks like they come to the store that way. Never noticed before.
