I have recently bought a vintage 1950's Breitling with a F690 with the number on the back as 2505_25 how can i tell if it is a frankenwatch?

HI, my info shows a 2505/25 as ''round case, central second, automatic. Any chance of photo's.

Could well be correct with a Felsa movement, but photos of the dial, movement and inside and outside of caseback will allow us to say for sure.

Serial number says 1956. The watch looks all original to me except the redone dial.

1952 I think Paul (that first digit looks like a 6), but agree that it looks fine. The dial is obviously redone, but by someone who knew what they were doing - it looks period correct.
