Also as far as battery changes go, can you perform the change yourself or would it be recommended to send the watch right back to Breitling USA for this and pit stop service?

I changed batteries for the first time this year at the Breitling authorised Service.
Batteries for both the watch & co pilot, gaskets change, pressure test to original specs, cleaning the watch and bracelet at the ultrasound machine and finally testing for the total cost of 120 euros.

In theory you can change the battery yourself with the right tools, but it's really not worth it. As Xrays says the cost for a battery change is reasonable and you get the gaskets changed and everything pressure tested as well.

One of the features on the aerospace page on breitling's website is "Audible time indication". Anybody know what that is?

If you press in the crown, it will "beep out" the current time, first the hour, then a two-tone for 15-minute intervals, then single tones for the remaining minutes (e.g., one two-tone and two beeps if it's 17 past the hour). This appeared first in the "Repetition Minutes" version of the aerospace.
