Just to let you know both my Navitimer Caliber 01 and Navitimer Chrono-Matic Vintage are back from BUK and all fixed!

The start/stop chrono pusher on the B01 is now as I'd expect and no where near as hard as it was to push. It stops and resets the chrono without any jumping of the chrono minute hand and also the hands have been replaced so no more mark on the big red one!

The vintage appears to be OK, I have the chrono running on it as I type and will leave it running for a full 12 hours to see if it no longer sticks, but I'm confident it's fixed now!

So tomorrow is casual dress day at work, so it will be blue jeans, white T and the Navi 01, perfect casual combo!

Stef

Be different Stef!

White jeans, blue T-shirt. :wowzers

Glad they're both back where they belong and seem to be behaving themselves.

Nick.

Thats awesome Stef. I sure hope the love of that watch can be rekindled. I still absolutely love mine and wish I could wear it during the day and more often at night, but my outside job isn't good for really nice watches. :( Still banging around a Steelfish during the day though! :)

Great news Stef.

I'm sure that there is still a bitter taste in the mouth, but hopefully the joy of the pieces can overcome that.

Glad to hear the Navi 01 is back in the stable. I surely hope it's fixed for good. I don't want to rain on your parade, but when my Chronomat 01 came back from BUSA, it worked fine for a few days and resumed with the chrono issue, which is still has to this day. Let's hope a different technician worked on your movement.

Your point about the chrono being really difficult to start (prior to being fixed) is interesting because I feel I have to push my Navi 01 starter much harder than my Chronomat 01 starter. I'm sure hope I'm not about to develop another B01 issue . . .

How cool is it when long awaited watches come home! Did Breitling send them back in the little travel cases?

Yes they did, not sure if they were the same ones I sent them in, I don't recall the zips being as black and square as these.

Geeze, you're brave buying the same exact movement that you're still having an issue with. I wouldn't settle with the problem if I were you. You paid a lot of money for that watch. It should be perfect. I'd send it back again.

Mine was fine-- no issues. I can't imagine it's a common issue.

As far as the pusher being hard to start, I thought Roff said it was a normal B01 property. I forget the details of his post though.

You can best believe the Chronomat will be going back. Now that I have a backup watch, it won't be as difficult to part with it. However, the last time it went to BUSA they gave it a full service, so I'm planning on sending it back as close to the two year warranty mark as possible to kill two birds.
