When they call it a "double" tourbillon, does that mean it has two tourbillons, or does it mean the single tourbillon has two axes of rotation, like a gyroscope?

It has two tourbillons, one inside the other. GF have produced a quadruple tourbillon since that came out.

Company slogan: "Greubel Forsey. We don't know the meaning of overkill."

Yeah I saw the announcement at Basel. It was prototyped last year, and production version this year. Not quite in budget though - list is 150,000 Euros.

CACHEUX Elephant Automatic is something you might want to look for , although being ultra-limited production piece ( 11 produced up to now ) they go for >50k .

I don't consider that to be particularly weird. The lugs (if you can call them that) are odd but the watch itself is pretty tame looking in my opinion.

I see what you mean. The basic dial is pretty plain. The open-heart tourbillon version livens things up a little, although perhaps not to the point of weirdness you're looking for. Most people I know would consider the watch freakish, but then none of them are of the wis persuasion.

How much is it? I can't see a price on the website - just say "sold out."
