Not long after I took these pics,





my Steelfish requested a warmer environment. Barely a week later, I was happy to oblige. I took my daughter and we headed south to pay my parents a visit.

Because of the snow and the total lack professionalism of the airport authorities, I had to try thrice before finally reaching my destination. But it was worth the try.

My parents were delighted (because it was a total surprise) as was my Steelfish.



















And it was in good company









We enjoyed a cool 24°C which was totally unexpected for this time of year. But we did not complain.

It does look happier in the south. Next time let me know and I may send along my Steelfish. It could use a Holiday.

Thanks Frank. I'm glad to see from your pics that you're enjoying the BB bracelet. I can't wait to get home and try out that croc strap. I need to get a new camera so I can take some pics like yours and Tomcat's, after a little practice that is.

Just out of curiosity, are you using auto or manual focus? I'm guessing auto, because it appears as though your camera is choosing a point of focus other than the watch dial (usually rocks or sand), in turn causing focus issues in a number of the shots. Switching to manual would allow you to set the point of focus on the dial, and let the depth of field dictate what else in the shot is in focus. Just like eyes in a portrait, though, if you haven't got the dial in focus, you haven't got a shot. Total thumbs up on the settings, though, and for the chutzpah to endure the odd looks others were giving you.
