How do you guys get your watches to fit under the cuff neatly. Do you have them custom made or roll up the sleeves? When I first got my Motors T I only had 1 or 2 dress shirts that could accommodate the large watch size. I thought that I'd have no issues with the 43 mm Navitimer 01 but it's still a problem. Either it's tight under the cuff, or the cuff folds up half way up the watch, or the watch is in front of the cuff witch causes the watch to push into the top of my hand. Only my 42mm SMP Electric Blue fits most of my shirts neatly. The rest of the watches are an issue.

Any recommendations?

I've never had a problem because the sleeves are generally fairly loose at the cuff for the neck size that I need, but there has been a big increase in the last couple of years in the number of brands that offer different cuts. If you speak to the store they can help you with a cut that has more room without having to resort to custom made costs.

Just wear a short sleeve dress shirt then you'll have no worries!

I had a problem getting my 6.75 under my dress shirts....I ended up selling it. Now my work watches all fit under my sleeve.

French cuffs. Usually there will be more room. Also opens up new collecting opportunities for cuff links!

I roll mine up!

My cuffs end right before my watch on both french cuff and non dress shirts.

I had the exact opposite experience. All my French cuffs fit more snugly than my barrel cuffs. I had no problem fitting a Chronomat under a barrel cuff, but it mucked up my French cuffs. I finally resorted to wearing a thinner watch with those shirts.


Are your sleeves long enough? On a well-sized dress shirt, the cuffs should extend to where your wrist meets your hand. I'm trying to envision how they could stop above your watch without looking awkwardly short.

Can you bring your shirts to a tailor and have them move the buttons on the cuffs out a little bit? It's gotta be cheaper than a custom made shirt...or a new watch.
