Short version: I went to my AD to buy a Pro II bracelet for my Chrono Avenger, they only had model 133E which goes on a M1. The 133E version wouldn't fit correctly on my CA; while the salesperson messed with my watch, I checked their 2007 dealer catalog and the CA uses model 132E. I wondered why Authenticwatches had two versions that looked externally the same, now I know.

The salesperson told me that it was not unusual for two or three watches that appear to use the same case to use different bracelets. I can understand different models using different bracelets, but the CA and CA M1 are virtually identical. Why would Breitling do this?

Long version (rant): I called the AD yesterday to find out if they had a Pro II for my watch. I talked to a new saleperson, but she took and hour and a half to get back to me, to make sure that she knew what she was talking about. On top of that, I questioned every detail when she called me back. 22mm? Yes. Are you sure? Yes. Titanium? Yes. Titanium, not steel, right? Yes. Pro II? Yes. Pro II, not the older Pro I, correct? Yes. There was also a long time salesperson next to her to confirm that she was giving me the right answers. I told them to put the bracelet on hold, I would pick it up today.

So, I took off from work, drove all the way to town and guess what? Yup, they had a Pro I on hold for me. To make matters worse, there was not a single Pro II, model 132E, in the store so I took all the time and trouble for nothing. At least I learned that there are 2 different bracelets.

I'm a regular customer at a store that sells $3,000, $4,000 and higher watches and now I'm pissed. I'm really mad at the experienced salesperson that was helping the newbie, for not making sure that things were correct. That more experienced salesperson was at the store when I got there and indicated my displeasure and she didn't say a word. I'm not saying that they should treat me extra special because I buy good watches, but if they expect to get a commission on a sale they should do more than just take my credit card and wrap up my watch.

I can feel for you as sometimes you think the person you are speaking to on the phone knows what they are talking about, only to fine out they don't have a clue. But keep coming back to buy something please....that is all they are thinking.

That sucks Ross.. to be told something by the store and to get there only to be disappointed because they don't know what they are talking about. When I inquired about the Breitling Speed Bracelet for my Motors they were very good about making sure that they had correct one, and when they did not, they said they have the one for the Flying B, which has a different number but fits the Motors - only problem is that it costs $100 more.

I have added the 133E bracelet to the site, thanks!

I feel your pain on this one Ross. And for the experience staff not to apologise to you is simply not on. Poor service really grinds my gears, especially when I realise that I know more that the salesperson about the product they are selling......, and yet they still adopt an air of superiority.

Take your business elsewhere I say.

Hey Admin, what's the difference then between the Motors Speed and the Flying B Speed bracelets? In pictures it always looks like the Flying B Speed doesn't taper so much, but I don't know if it actually does...

FWIW, I just picked up a used 133e for my CA and it seems fit ok. I'd be curious to see the endpieces from a 132e and see the difference.
