Not sure what's going on with the caseback engraving, but it looks OK to me.

Yeah, seen a few of these fakes before. They find a nos Breitling dial, which are plentiful, and stick it in a generic case. The hands are wrong and the movement should have Breitling Watch Ltd on the bridge. The back, like Roff says, is way too crude to be right.

Didn't even notice the hands - shouldn't look as I am going into a meeting

This dial came from Watchco in Australia unsigned as did the case (or Sandoz or ?, original signature removed) - I have some of them. The dials are also being sold as NOS Breitling dials by other sellers. When I get back from my vacation I will post some pics of the unsigned ones - they come in other colors too.

Here's a fake, sort of :)

Image

This is a Waltham. It's mine. I picked up this watch for $5 at a flea market! The dial was all scratched up. Bought this dial (which was probably one of those Sandoz dials that was turned into a Breitling) for another watch and it didn't fit so I put it on this one. I keep the Waltham dial in the container for this watch. I wear it occasionally and always tell folks the story behind it. If I ever sell it, I will put the Waltham dial back on it.

The same goes for the other watch I posted today. I assumed the dial was not authentic when I bought it, but dials for these are hard to find, and it looks better than the one that was on it. Some purist won't like that, but I searched for years and couldn't find the right dial.
