hi there

i noted that there are two versions of the crosswind with blue dials, there is one that has diagonal lines and italic font on the sub dials and another that has dots on the dial and normal numbering on the sub dials.

i have seen pictures of both but i am not sure if the dial colour is the same as one seems darker than the other.

any help?

j

Looking at the the old Chronologs it looks like the italicized subdial Crosswinds came out and were produced for two years from 2002-2003. The subsequent and final year of production in 2004 reverted back to the non-italicized version.

I'm not certain what you mean by the dots on the dial and diagonal lines though. I'm wondering if perhaps you are looking at a Crosswind Racing as well as a Crosswind. The Crosswind has Roman numerals whereas the Crosswind Racing uses batons as hour markers.

sorry, what i mean by the pattern on the dial is perhaps better referred to guilloche.

the italicised crosswind has raised diagonal lines on the dial (b13355) where as the non italicised verison has a dot pattern to it(b10355). both have roman numerals

i want to know what the differnce is between them if at all?

I assume that you mean B13055 rather than B10355. It's a styling update in the model over time, but there is also a mechanical difference - 13055 is not COSC certified, 13355 is.
