My first Breitling! I fell in love with this watch about 4 years ago when a friend bought one. I can now afford it, and found this one for sale. It is freshly back from Breitling service and has not been worn since. Comes with all documentation, etc.

From what I can tell it is worth approx $3500. I can afford the watch and dont consider it an 'investment' but $3k+ is a fair chunk of change and I want to make sure I am buying smart.

Any comments/thoughts? Would you buy this watch @ $3500 considering its condition? it looks basically brand new. Breitling doesnt mess around when you send stuff in for service!

Seems to me if he wants our advice, he could spare us the trouble of guessing. Besides, if we guess wrong, how helpful is that?

I have to be honest, I decided to purchase the watch. I can't wait to wrap that puppy around my wrist. I tend to be leary of purchasing ANYTHING that starts out with negative equity, thats why I buy all my cars used, etc. But I think I am close to a coin flip on this, and ill enjoy it.. so that's what matters!

Why yes, I guess it is. :D

Thoughts on the watch? Navis aren't my specialty.

Someone bought one that looks exactly like it on ebay yesterday (and I mean exactly) and only paid $3150.00 for it so I would say it's too expensive.

Yeah, but was it newly overhauled and did it come with complete documentation? That overhaul has got to count for something, I would think.

Agreed, $3,500 is too much. The eBay one is a fair reflection of value in my opinion.

Why thank ya.

Well, Racer, you heard it from the folks who know. Proceed as you will. If you do go forward with it, enjoy it all the same. In the end, it's only money. If you like the watch and feel good about the purchase, that's what counts.

It seems the "world" model is slightly more valuable.

I bought that watch on ebay, for $3100 shipped. The person that big $3150+shipping actually failed to pay and the seller sold it to me (through Ebay's "second chance" service).

Congratulations. You got an even better deal. Good for you.

As far as value you have to remember the Navi World and the Heritage are two completely different watches with different complications and a considerable size difference.

If you are happy with the price you paid (and I think you should be) and you are happy with the watch then that's all that matters.
