Agreed... on both counts...

Piaget does nothing for me...

That JLC alarm is so choice... got a nice retro look to it...

Unfortunately yes I do know the size. I agree with you that it is magnificent, and an LE of 959 (the other one is 359 for the US only). I was all set to call and reserve one pending confirmation of price (supposedly $12,300), but........

It's 40.5mm :(

Crickey that's a real shame. At 42mm it might've just about been OK, but 40.5mm is just way too small for me.

I'm still thinking - very tempting, but let's see what the next week brings.

Love those JLCs. Also love the AP minute repeater in Roff's original post.

Of the two versions of that JLC Roff posted, I have to say I'm not too keen on the first one. I think the font that the JLC name is written in looks at bit too Art-Deco for my liking, and the fact that the name on the dial will rotate with the alarm indicator would bug me a lot. The second one is much nicer IMO...... but then again at 40.5mm they're way too small for me anyway. Probably just as well given my currently diminished watch fund!

Admittedly I do much prefer the second one. And I also wish it had been 42-44mm, not that the watch-buying budget would permit it anyway at the moment.

I would like to have seen the JLC at closer to 44mm, but I bet that it wears closer to 42mm than 40mm.

Things are definitely starting to look up......

Richard Mille extra flat (just 6.3mm thick) - RM033. It seems like an odd concept for a Richard Mille but I really like this piece. Perpetuelle again for the images.

RM030, more traditionally Richard Mille, but with a novel movement that declutches the rotor when the mainspring is fully wound (instead of allowing the mainspring to slip in the barrel the rotor just spins freely).

RM029, with big date

RM017, extra flat tourbillon (gorgeous!!)

RM is definitely exotic in his watches which I think is good but maybe more in an acquired taste capacity. I don't like the JLC's unfortunately but liked the look of the B&M.

Agree on acquired taste, but that 33 really appeals to me = I like the round case and the eccentric centre to the dial gives it real character.

Things are really picking up now as the show kicks off. Perpetuelle again gets credit for the content.

Altair posted the highlights of the Panerai announcements - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=26370

AP has a number of new pieces - http://www.perpetuelle.com/UsrViewForum ... yword_Tags

Roger Dubuis has announced a whole new range - the 'La Monagesque' range. Here's the first:

Girard Perregaux has a few new announcements including a new tourbillon with a gold bridge rather than steel (unusual as gold is often considered to be too weak for tourbillons).

As I stated in Altair's post, I do like the Dubois stuff a lot. Way out of my price range though.
