I've always been a big fan of the Panerai Radiomir and I finally decided to pick one up! It's my first manual wind and I think it's pretty cool. Initially I was quite surprised by how thin the Radiomir case is; it's extremely comfortable to wear. I don't even feel like I'm wearing a watch, the croc straps for the rads are thinner than the luminor crocs which also adds to the comfort. The polished case is very nice and it appears to be dressier that I had imagine. I think with a black croc or dark brown croc I could wear this with a suit or dressed down with jeans. Next year I'd like to add a Ceramic Pam...unlike my other watches, I am taking it slow and easy with the Panerai's. No selling, no flipping, I just love em...never thought I'd say that!

Love the Black Seal. The relative thinness is why the Radomirs are the only Pams I will consider. The 1950 case is just so thick, I couldn't pull it off beyond the initial excitement. I would like one with a date window. And having seen that particular piece on a black alligator, I can tell you it DOES wear dressy and casual.

The nice thing about manual wind is it frees up winder space for another watch!!!!

Congrats.

Thanks. The winder has some extra room now but the bank account doesn't!! I can live witout the date window, it's not a big deal to me.

I have not been a fan of the line but that is a great looking watch. I really like their caliber's finish and design. If they would only build one with a clear case. I hope you have many years of enjoyment with it and please post more photo's.
Best health, Frank

Nice watch. If I had to go with only one Panerai, I'd definitely go with a Radiomir. I think they are more flexible and can be dressed up more than the Luminors. I was considering a 42mm Radiomir as a dress watch some time ago.

Is that why you're selling the moonphase?

Unlike some of you I'm not to big a fan of a thin watch thats the only reason I'm not a fan of that particular range but other than that its a beautiful looking watch.

Congratulations, hope it serves you well!

Cheers

No, I'm selling the Olympus to fund the Port 7 Day that I bought, which is quickly becoming my favorite watch to wear to work. The Olympus will be tough to let go but it doesn't get any wrist time....it's sorta dressy, sorta sporty, kinda busy, i just fell out of touch with it unfortunately.

The more I look at your pictures...the more I like the 183. Very nice pick up. I know most PAMs come with a 2nd strap standard in the box...what is the 2nd strap that comes with this?

This model only comes with one strap, a light brown calf. I worked out a deal with the AD where he kept that strap (because I hate it) and he gave me the honey brown croc in it's place at no charge. That worked out to be in my favor by about $200. I'm going to be buying a dark chocolate brown croc for it and I'm looking at an after market black strap with white stitching. That should be a good start for now.

Most PAMs that come with two straps have a rubber strap as the 2nd option.

Great watch Serge. I am sure your winder will be back to full fairly soon :poke: . The Radomir seems to be a great dress piece. I it has great wrist presence and elegance all at the same time. Enjoy my friend, what a way to start 2011 :D

Awesome addition Serge! Congrats! As far as subs, have you seen the early (no hash marks bezel) 25 in all its patina'd Titanium glory?
