I've looked at these again in the cold light of day and I cannot for the life of me figure out the market that Breitling is targetting with these - especially the orange, and especially that shade of orange.
Well Roff, just think of it with a matching orange strap with apple-green dots, I'm sure that will change its face.
Just jokin'.
I've been away from a computer for a few days, then I saw this topic. I have to admit that it took me some seconds to confirm that what my brain told my eyes were seeing was actually true.
I think that I've rarely read a topic on BS where every member (well almost!) agrees and one that had so many concurring posts in such a short time. So, I guess that there is almost nothing I can add that hasn't been said and I do not fully agree with.

Pretty much any brand will have models that at least some people hate, but that's hugely different in my mind to cheapening the entire brand. I don't like rubber bezels or Buck Rogers fonts, but they don't cause me to question the integrity of the brand - these 'cartoonish' pieces do.
That's true Roff, but here EVERYBODY hates these monstrosities.

Breitling is an independent company, and likely had less resources to survive the recent economic downturn, this is starting to look like desperate moves from a financially challenged company to generate revenue from any source. We've seen it from Breitling before in the 1970s and we all know how that ended.
I really hope that you're wrong Roff because we've seen these exact desperate moves in aviation where core customers were "sacrificed" for "new" customers in the Near-east, the Far-east and Asia, especially the BRIC countries. True, they seem to have the buying power for now but is Breitling willing to abandon its customers in Europe or the US and Canada for that? If they do, they must be more than desperate. But I am not sure that that is not the case. Or is it and we were fooled for the past year?
Because surely they must realize that no one serious will buy that THING, especially with the hefty surplus in price that goes with an LE.
