Are we going to start taking bets on which model will be released in limited edition blacksteel this year? These things look horrible.

Would love to see Breitling drop the black steel gimick and come out with a ceramic case or a composite case like Panerai 339/386 etc. Really want to see something innovative from Breitling rather than these ugly @$$ Ravens who could be designed by a 5 year old with a pack of crayola's.

Wow, those suck. I was just thinking to myself yesterday, "I haven't seen any new LE's from Breitling lately", seriously I was. Then this, the bezels look like they're made of friggin Play-Doh. Why did Breitling decide to destroy what was probably the nicest watch in the Professional Line? The watch is awesome with the Steel bezel, OK withe the black rubber one and downright sad with these.

It's un-by-God-believable! It's a $5K+ watch!!!!! How many 6 year olds does Breitling think have $5K+ for a watch??????? Did Bretling hire the Zenith guys who were axed after the Defy fiasco? Are those bezels fruit scented? Edible? So many questions.

Shocked that they chose orange over yellow, I always had that down as an omega colour after the PO. Having said that, I actually quite like it, wouldn't be willing to part with that much cash for it though.

 Good to see there's been a WHOLE lotta love for these since I last looked at the thread last night!

Maybe Breitling are working on a sequel to "The Book", with the working title of, "The Book 2 : How to Lose Customers and Alienate Anyone Over 5 Years Old".

Driver, you and I disagree on the regular Skyracer Raven, but there's a lot less room for doubt here. This defies belief.

I've looked at these again in the cold light of day and I cannot for the life of me figure out the market that Breitling is targetting with these - especially the orange, and especially that shade of orange.

The Zenith Defys were polarizing, but they had a large number of fans because there was something there to appreciate - niche for sure, but it wasn't just weird in your face colours.

I have made no secret of being a fan of niche watches - heck I've been looking at Corum Bubbles and Azimuths, but these pieces just make no sense to me at all. It's one thing to not like the look, but tastes can be individual, but this goes far further - I just don't see where the target market is - it beggars belief that Breitling green lighted these. Frankly it's embarassing and if this is a sign of the future direction then it is going to cheapen the image of the brand far more quickly than in house movements can build the brand up. Can you imagine the reactions in the boardrooms of Breitling's competitors, they must be rolling on the floor with laughter.

Breitling is an independent company, and likely had less resources to survive the recent economic downturn, this is starting to look like desperate moves from a financially challenged company to generate revenue from any source. We've seen it from Breitling before in the 1970s and we all know how that ended.

Aside from the comedy of the pieces, it's actually quite sad that a brand that I love so much should stoop so low.

:yeahthat :yeahthat :yeahthat Not a single sentence that doesn't express my sentiment. This actually disturbs me - on some emotional level. I sent the photo to my AD late last night. I'm sure they don't know and I can't wait for their reaction. They will not be pleased. Heck, they weren't excited about the SOII, but this "thing"......

Will transformer watches be the big announcement at Basel?
