I have to admit, I have only 4 "nice" watches. Of the 4, my Breitling stands out with regards to the quality of finish and attention to detail. I frequently look at my watches under a lupe (my wife makes fun of me) and my Breitling Steelfish (the most inexpensive of my small collection) appeals to me more than my others. The polishing, markers, dial detail, lettering, all are crisp and perfect. The bracelet (Pro II) is fluid and perfect. I know...this has been talked about before but wow...they make great watches.

I want a Navitimer as my next purchase. I am totally impressed with their looks and functionality.

On another note (not really related), my Maurice Lacroix kicks my Tag Heuer Carrera's @ss regarding the polishing and finishing to the movement. There is no comparision between the 2 (yet they share the same Valjoux 7750 movement). The smoothed edges, blued screws, perfect polishing...in my opinion, Tag really falls behind.

I see you have a Rollie in your signature block as well....how does it stack up under the loupe against your Ling?

Great to hear about the quality of the Steelfish! It is probably the watch I miss most out of all of the ones I've flipped. The details are amazing and when you wear it, it just feels right and solid. The crystal looks non-existant leaving only the beautifully finished dial glimmering in the sunlight.

I am also curious how it stacks up next to the Rolex DSSD. And despite loving the look of the Tag Carrera Day/Date, there just seems to be better watches out there at that price level.

You want a Navi World, I just bought a Silver Dial Brown Croc a month ago before I saw the Deepsea and now I want to sell the World and buy the deepsea and Add back a SA later. I love the World but it's a bit elegant for me.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Deepsea. It's just not my favorite watch for daily wear. In my opinion it's more of a "tool watch." A very expensive yet functional tool watch. It was an impulsive buy over a year ago. With that said, the Rolex quality and finish are unparalleled in that price range. I just feel it's clunky and large...larger than I want to wear in a suit or formal-wear. I can get away with wearing my SuperOcean with a suit or just shorts and a Tee shirt.

Speaking of build and finish, the Deepsea is stunning and I would never say otherwise. It's just not as beautiful as my Breitling in my eyes. I look at my SuperOcean and go "wow" and keep studying it. My Deepsea is just a Rolex...awesome as I would expect, but doesn't give me the "wow" factor...

Just my thoughts and in no way am I bashing my Deepsea or Rolex. I love it for what it is.

I fully agree, the Steelfish appeals to me most as well. I just hope that my poor ol' B01 isn't reading this
