with my recent purchase (Avenger Skyland). I was wondering if the build quality of it was as high as a rolex sub?
For ages I really liked them both and on my bday I decided to go for 1 of them. I went for the breitling over the rolex on looks but is it as good in other factors? Sorry but being a newbie my knowlage of watches is limited! lol

Can't answer your question directly but I would say you made the right decision!

Seriously. I would said the Rolex has the very slight edge overall but when you get to this level in watches the differences in quality are very small, as in they are all of a very high standard and all finished extremely well.

Congrats on your pick up. .

I've owned a Rolex Sub LV and have a number of Breitlings and personally I've never found anything to suggest that Breilting have a lower build quality at all. If anything the quality of Breitling's bracelets and clasps is much better than the older Sub hollow-linked bracelet and tin-foil clasp. Cue Rolex owners now saying how their older style Sub bracelets have never failed once! (To be fair, they are indeed very hardy, but in terms of feel then Breitling beats the older Sub bracelets hands down IMO). The new Rolex Sub (and SDDS) bracelets are excellent and easily on a par with Breitling however.

Yea thanks guys. I'm sure i made the right choice! I know what you mean about the bracelet! so nice to wear. despite the watch is heavier than the rolex, with a strap like this you hardly notice you have it on!

I'm a long time rolex owner and a not-all-that-long time breitling owner. My experiences with my old submariner and an explorer II is that they will not fail you and can take quite a beating.

Until now I have had exactly zero problems with any ling I've owned, but I'll have to wait a while to see if they stand the test of time as well as my sub. Lookin' good so far, though :)

You shouldn't have problems with either. choose the watch that winks at you!!! if you fancied a sub you will get one, one day, it doesn't leave you, just don't sell the ling to get it!!!

Regards
John
