The FedEx guy just delivered my Navi 01 moments ago. Unfortunately, the fiance is making me wait until Christmas to open it (are our women conspiring, Roff?). However, I do know it's number 1337/2000 and couldn't be more excited for the 25th to arrive. I've already seen one in the metal, so it won't be entirely overwhelming, but I'm excited nonetheless. I went with the black croc deployant, which I don't think anyone else has picked yet. I'll post pics when I get a chance.

I know what you mean. My I got a call from my AD that my watch came in. My wife picked it up today but I can't touch it until Christmas. I don't even know what number it is. :santa:

Well it's now 06:45 here in New York City and none of you have posted pics yet!?

Man, if that was me I'd have had the pics up by now!

Have a great day all wherever you are.

Stef, Welcome to NYC. I'm about 45 minutes away from you right now.

Anyway, I just opened up my Christmas present -- Navitimer B01 #286. I'll post some pics as soon as I can.

Merry Christmas all.

Well, we were planning a visit to the Breitling Boutique tomorrow but they are forecasting the possibility of up to 14" of snow tomorrow in NYC apparently!

Congrats, beautiful watch. I have the same strap and boy is that thing stiff. I'm wearing it everyday hoping it softens up because when I first put it on I wasn't crazy about the feel and at for a moment regretted not getting a bracelet, it's getting better but still not there yet after 3 weeks.

I "break in" all my Breitling straps BEFORE they get attached to the watch. Makes all the difference to me. After this method the strap has a slight curve to it while sitting on the table. They way I do it is very simple. I fold each side onto itself (insides touching) and roll the strap between my fingers. I usually do this 10-12 times and then start wearing it. This creates a curvature in the strap that contours to your wrist and makes it a whole lot more comfortable.

Bronco's advice is sound, but just be careful not to overstretch the leather or it will crack. Take the "breaking in" easy at first.

Thanks, Tomcat. I guess this means I have two fighters in the squadron now!

I agree with daddyswatch that the strap is very stiff and not overly comfortable. I'm just going to hold out and hope it breaks in by wearing it, but I may use broncosport's advice next time.
