The Breitling Watch Source Forums

I have been an on and off lurker here over the years, but I thought I should post my newest aquisition. I have been looking to add to my small watch collection (Breitling Chrono SO, Luminox Chrono Blackbird). This last week while while on a Caribbean cruise, I discovered that our ship (Alure of the Seas) now sells Breitlings. My wife was not too keen on my purchasing another Breitling, but said that If I wanted to, I could get one on the cruise. After looking around at the several ports of call, I bought this beauty form the dealer on board the ship. The price may not have been as cheap as some online dealers, but it was within a $100 or so. Even with paying customs duty, it was chaper or equivalent to buying local plus sale tax. I finally settled on a Chronomt B01, Blackeye gray with black croco and deployment strap.

Haha, well that's a pretty good sales tactic, lock you up for 10 days on a boat with a shop full of Breitlings.......... pretty hard not to cave in

The dealer also said that he had a brown wood grain Breitling presentation box and that he would give that to me instead of the standard black bakelite box. Of course, I couldn't refuse.

Maybe I should book a cruise when I am into buying my next one, I just put on a sad face and tell her I cannot resist.

This is the first cruise I have actually seen Breitlings sold on board ship. Normally you can only get them at designated jewelers in port. To the best of my knowledge, the only two ships that sell Breitlings on board are Royal Caribbean's "Oasis of the Seas" and the brand new "Alure of thhe Seas".

That dial is awesome...I would have a hard time picking between that dial or the Black Eye Blue dial....both are gorgeous. You got ya a great looking addition there, GRATS!!

Prior to deciding on the B01 black eyed gray, I almost went with a a Blackbird black eyed blue. I have no regrets with my decision. It has a more elegent look, especialy with the black croco strap.

Beautiful watch. Great choice on the black croc!
