Fake. It looks to me like the Breitling on the dial has been carefully added to an otherwise vintage dial. The case is all wrong including the Breitling engraving inside the case back. The Venus 188 movement is a later movement and wouldn't have been found in this style watch from the 1940's and has had the Breitling added to the bridge. Best leave this one to someone else.

I'm guessing that art deco font on the dial has been used by other manufacturers too? First flag for me was redial too, but to think it was the script ADDED onto the dial instead of an original dial redone... interesting... never thought of that... 8)

is hard to imagine how this dial has been < falsified > ... the surface is protected by clear varnish and the edge are not perfect , it looks vintage - take a look please :

Hard to imagine, but very possible. Can't comment on the varnish or in terms of the edges as you mentioned, but someone could've found a dial that RESEMBLED a Premier dial and made it so it looks like one just by adding the "Breitling" script and "Premier"... Like I said, I've seen the art deco font on authentic Premiers but I've never seen it on other brands...

It's either that or an original Premier dial but too badly damaged/aged so it was redone/repainted (whatever you want to call it). Not a good job either way, but redone dials never end up great anyway.
