Hello and Good day,

I come across with this stop watch on some site.Just wondering is this baby a genuine Breitling stop watch. Can someone please help me to identify on the movement. Thank you in advance.

Looks genuine to me... from the looks of it looks like a valjoux movement...
you should also do a search in the forum here... many many topics on these pieces... good information will pop up :D

Paul's the expert on stopwatches, but it looks good to me too with a variation of the Valjoux 24 movement (available in both chrono and stop watch variants).

This 1/10 second split timer has the Valjoux 24 movement which was initially designed as a split timer chronograph (column wheel). I think this is a stripped down version of the initial split timer chronograph without the time keeping (clock) function. Pretty cool piece and is in my 1959 catalog.

That's about US$260 I think which seems a bit high to me.

Most of the pure timers sell in the $35-$150 max range unless there's something unique or special about them. This one is more complex than a normal timer so I would guess at the higher end of the scale.
