Hey everybody,

I have heard that Singapore is a great place to look for all brands of luxury/high-end watches, possibly even "affordable". Would anyone have suggestions on where to go and if my intel is right about the price levels?

Top 3 of interest: Sinn 900, Hamilton Belowzero normal & chronograph (the black ones) and all Breitlings with Avenger in the name. Naturally not in this order though... :D

Thanks,

I agree with u on the choices of all brands but not the "affordable" part. At least not for Breitling. If you compare with the price in US, here is more expensive by afew hundred dollars.

Literally hundreds and hundreds of ADs in Singapore. You must bargain hard to get a good discount. Cash is king. Check with at least 3 ADs before buying. Don't forget to bring your passport to get a GST refund form which you can claim at the airport on the day of your departure. Out of the 7% tax, you will get back about 5.5%.

If you're comfortable with shopping by mail from the US, pm Jnelson or Fear -- their AD contacts can probably give you as good (or better) deals for Breitlings.

FYI, it is not easy to find fake stuff in Singapore. As I mention, Branded watches tend to be more expensive in Singapore compare to other country. That's the reason why in Singapore, alot of ppl selling these watches in a local forum which they bought from oversea AD. I bought a Breitling airwolf Raven(collecting it today) from a local AD which offer me a slighty over 30% discount but it is still a few hundred USD more expensive comparing to some of the trusted dealer here... :lingsrock:

Agree.. U need to put in some effort to get a good deal. Basically most of the ADs here are concentrated in the central of the City(Orchard Road). U just need to do some shop hopping. The major players are "Hour Glass", "Sincere", "cortina" and the "Watches of Switzerland"..

You could always try Lucky Plaza. You have both bigger AD:s and smaller shops to try out there. Its located right on Orchard road. There you have even more shops to ponder. And as stated before, if you stick to Orchard road, you will not get any fakes.

Good luck!

Thank you all for your comments. That´s the thing I like about this forum, everybody pitch in if somebody needs assistance.

I will be staying at the Hilton on Orchard road, so I´ll take my time to go shop skipping even though somebody could think of loads of other things to do on that road...

And I have regularly been checking Fear´s FS threads for deals, but still kept myself from going ahead with inquiries. Especially that Hercules which he was advertising a while back.

Thanks again.

Which model are you looking for? New or preowned? If preowned, maybe I can help but Preowned Breitling is not so common. PM me so I can provide some link for some of the shop selling preowned Breitling but choices are limited.
