I prefer the chronomat- specifically I prefer the evos demarcation on the subdials, the sub dial arrangement but mostly I much prefer the evo's bezel. Possible compromise would be a crosswind special although heading down second hand road then

Either way the chronomat or Blackbird are both really beautiful pieces! :lingsrock:

Do you prefer it for its appearance or functionality? I agree that the Chronomat's bezel is generally more functional, at least for me, since I find a diver's bezel useful for marking elapsed time. I can't conceive of a use I would have for the Blackbird's bezel, although I've heard it can be useful for pilots; since I'm not a pilot, it functions as little more than a curio. Having said that, the chronograph makes a diver's bezel largely redundant, so I don't know that the Blackbird is at a great disadvantage functionally. In terms of appearance, I think it's a wash between the two bezel styles.

Speaking of dial layout, am I the only one who actually thinks the BB subdial layout would make more sense if the small seconds were at the 6:00 position? That way, the two totalizers would be balanced opposite each other at the 3:00 and 9:00 positions. It's a small point, but to me, it just seems more balanced. I guess in the sense, I like the subdial layout of the Chronomat better, since the small seconds are at 9:00, opposite the date at 3:00, whereas the two totalizers balance each other at 12:00 and 6:00. Or maybe I'm just a tad OCD about it.

Hi Jackson,

I wear my BB+ the 'correct' way... inside of the left wrist.

It is currently on it's winter Ostrich custom ABP so I can hardly say how it would wear for a normal fella.
Stef wore it for hours when he stayed with us the other month and liked the way it wore so good I think.

I will try to do some new pics when madame comes home with the camera.

Al, nice looking strap. I wouldn't have guessed a brown strap would work with a black dial, but that particular one (which is more chestnut, I guess) looks great...better than a black strap, IMO.

Hey JacksonStone- to answer your question I think its more of an appearance thing for me- I prefer the evo's bezel as I think its more classic/ handsome looking whilst I find the BB bezel kind of busy/ fussy looking; but in addition I also feel the evo's diver style bezel is more functional for me too...

Best of luck with your decision- I don't think you can go wrong!! :lingsrock:
