Hi all, I've searched the forum for over 30 pages but don't see much about the watch discussed. I really like the dial design but I don't know if it'll be insensible in anyways to put down the price on a quartz (super quartz) watch. I know some purist would never ever do it but I really love the dial on this and would love to make it my first breitling.

Opinions please? Thanks in advance.

i have a recently purchased the seawolf chrono, brushed finish, black dial on a pro2 bracelet. this is the biggest, thickest and heaviest watch in the aeromarine category minus the super avenger. watch is amazing looking and spot on dead accurate. mine currently at +1 second per month. i personally prefer the wings located at the 12 o'clock posistion and i like the unique look of the date at the 430 posistion. one personal preference for me regarding the second hand totalizer stowed posistion. I stowe mine at the 10 o'clock covering the minute totalizer which leaves the wings completely exposed otherwise the second had totalizer defaults to cover the center of the wings. good luck.

Thanks Greg for your reply! Is there a quick way to get the minute totalizer to that position? Or did u just set the stop watch going and wait?

I agree so much with your description of the watch! I really love how it looks!

I've owned a black dial Seawolf chrono on DP II deployant for about a year now and just love. Looks stunning and is ridiculously accurate.

Ripper - The Seawolf chrono is 3rd heaviest in the aeromarine range. Even though the Super Avenger is larger, the Avenger Seawolf (Non chrono) automatic is the heaviest.

Seawolf Chrono - 45.4mm x 18mm thick 150.6g

Super Avenger - 48.4mm x 18.6mm thick 153.3g

Avenger Sewaolf - 45.4mm x 18.5mm thick 159.2g

Here' one taken from my Iphone!

Image

I've decided to stow the chrono seconds hand at the six o'clock position. Any idea how to move the other hand down to six o'clock position quickly?

Thanks! I have gone through the manual but I don't quite understand the yachting function. How do I set the minute hand to the colored zone? I'm quite confused. Advise please?

Congratulations on a fine watch! I have considered getting that one as well. It is a great, rugged piece of gear. You cannot beat the superquartz accuracy, period. Not to mention the water resistance and functionality. As we say in the Marine Corps, it is a "fire and forget" piece of gear. :guns:

As for the function, the minute hand will obviously be on the correct minute. But you have two secondary hands. One that starts counting the seconds when the pushpiece is depressed, and the other hand will start clocking the minutes. The yachting function allows you to set the secondary minute hand at 10 mins prior. In other words, it will be at the 10 oclock positon to anticipate the start of a race. I have never been on a yacht, unless you consider the USS Guadalcanal and the USS Dubuque yachts, but this is the best how I can explain. When I had a CA M-1 I "married up" the hands so they were aligned. Just keep reading the manual, it explains everything.

Enjoy your watch and wear it in good health! :lingsrock:

Hi Don,

Thanks for your reply and compliments. Really appreciate it.

I understand about being able to set the secondary minute hand at the 10 o'oclock position but I can't seem to find in the manual how to. I'll go through it again. Maybe I missed it out some how.

Thanks again.
