Speaking of scratches, I am curious to know how you managed to get scratches on the rotor.

That's what happens when a case opener slips because it isn't being used properly!

I'm going to mention it and see what they say.

A bit off topic, but do you have your own breitling case back opener or did you just use one of those balls

I never opened the case myself.I had asked my watchmaker to open it for me so i can take a pic of the movement and the scratch was already there.

Spoke to Breitling service dpt and they told me they will take care of the scratch on the rotor. Also, i thought i would get 1 year warranty but was told it's 2 years.

Didn't know that - that's unusual, but I guess the theory there is that it won't be reusable (crystal removers generally damage the crystal).

They're replacing the crystal with a saphire crystal and not with mineral witch is original to the watch.

You look at the specs.

There's no visible difference unless the mineral crystal has been scratched. Breitling now only uses sapphire crystal and where possible (some are too domed) replaces mineral crystals with sapphire during servicing if the owner agrees to a crystal replacement.

Spoke to the rep today and my watch should be ready by next week! So about 7 weeks to get it serviced.
