I just got my first Breitling Chronomat 01 LE and I am playing around with the idea to possibly get a leather strap or croco strap in black for the watch. What do you guys think and where is the best place to get one?

A Breitling Authorized Dealer! The leather quality from Breitling is top notch. The stiching, even color, and durability are are superb.

Croc all the way. Breitling croc straps are beautiful. I think they add a dressy side but still sporty. I bet your watch would look awesome with a brown croc as well. I saw a photo on here of a brushed blackbird with a black dial on a dark brown breitling croc and it looked beautiful! I have a 4month old breitling croc and deploy that I want to sell but it's 24mm and won't fit your watch.

It has the brushed steel pilot bracelet on now. Do you think the leather is a good option?

I also have a steel one at my B-1 and thinking of buying a leather strap.

What would be great for my B-1 and how much should that cost me :shock:

I currently have both for my SuperOcean, the Pro bracelet and black leather strap with deployant. For my Navitimer I ordered it with a croco on deployant so I am looking forward to see how the croco compares to the leather. I am guessing like previous posts that croco is a bit more classy and unique.

Well, the blue dials go very well with either black or brown strap. If you have a chance to visit an authorized dealer he will likely "fit" them for you onto your watch for your assessment. In the U.S. the list price for croco is $480USD now, up from around $300 USD a few years ago. Breitling calf leather straps have increased from around 100 USD a number of years ago to $160 USD now. Those prices are with the tang/buckle although the prices is the same for the deployant clasp style as well but without the clasp itself. I can't recall the price right now but IIRC the deployant clasp adds another few hundred to the price. Hope this helps,
Best,
Ron

Diamond pics dron as ever.

As opposed to mine:

BB+ on ABP ostrich;

BB on aged Brown Croc as requested;

And the boring old BB+ pic on custom bracelet/UTC (that dron kindly helped with info/irritation on (T));

B1 on Leather;

Promise as soon as I have a decent camera again I will take more (average) pics.

Just to clarify - all the straps you are referring to are "leather" straps. There are croco leather and calf leather.

While I have both, the croco straps are well worth the money. They are just incredible and the difference is more apparant when handling calf and croco.
