Is this a genuine Breitling Strap? I've noticed that the logo/markings on the back of the strap is different? :? Thanks.

I think it's OK - the 111X Code translates to a Black Cowhide strap 22-18, 80 and 120.

Wording is correct, and logo looks right. Buckle looks OK. Stitching correct. Padding correct.

Seller - Low profile (25) but 100%.

You can never be 100% (and photos aren't brilliant), but I'm fairly certain it's kosher - I've sold a fair few NOS Breitling straps on the 'Bay over the last few months, and this looks right.

Mike

Not an expert on strap variations, but this doesn't look remotely correct to me.

Breitling logo is script rather than printed and the gap for the tang looks 'poked through' rather than cut out properly.

The only thing I see that concerns me a little bit is that the strap length number is above the width number. I think most that I have seen are the opposite. Now - I'm not saying that's wrong, it could be a change in years past, but it is a difference from what I'm accustomed to seeing.

Wait for some more opinions.

Roff and BR549 make valid points.

However, I recently had a large batch of NOS straps, various vintages, from a reputable source, and the variations in Script, Logos and Tangs was surprising.

Interested to hear other opinions on this..

Mike

Hey Mike,
If you still have the photos from the ebay sales, is it possible for you to post photos of the authentic variations, particularly script, you've come across as I kind of reference? Thanks

I think it's ok, i have the same one and it looks identical. I reckon the tang looks ok, maybe the angle of the photo. Steve

Here's a selection, with various scripts, different fonts, some embossed, some printed, different positioning of strap length and width parameters etc., and the odd old style tangs too.

They are all genuine NOS direct from an AD

Dear electrosound,

Sorry, all shown were sold in last few months on the 'bay...bound to be getting some more in due course, but I tend to use the 'bay for selling, just a bigger customer base...

If I'm allowed a free advert :?: , my username on there is the same as on here 8)

Mike

Yeah, it's just a shame that we can't date straps like we can bracelets.
