I was at my AD the other day as I wanted to look at buying a leather watch strap for variety with my Crono Cockpit - currently I have the pilot bracelet and a rubber strap. The only leather he had was a black strap with white stitching. He said that was all that is available from Breitling. I am sure I have seen new Breitlings for sale with other strap colours and different materials.

Is there anyplace I can go to view the assortment of Breitling straps?

Perhaps you misunderstood the AD. ANY 20mm strap Breitling makes will fit you watch. Look here (it's the chrono Galactic, but the same watch case) - http://www.breitling.com/en/index.php#/ ... -galactic/

I've always had to order straps.

The Breitling configurator on the website will show the different colour options, but the colours aren't always a great match. Walk into any AD with a decent amount of stock and you'll see the various colour combos. There is also the choice of croc and calf. All Breitling straps have white stitching, they consider that part of the brand image.

Thanks, other than the black strap the other colours are not to my taste. Also not a fan of the white stitching alothough that may grow on me. Will look elsewhere. Do any Canadians out there have any suggestions of where to go in Canada (or a good quality online source) to find something different than the normal Speidel watch bands. Thanks

There are a lot of online strap makers, my personal favourite (and unfortunately one of the most expensive) is ABP - www.abp-paris.com

Based on the browsing i've done online, i've come up with these three.

http://www.abp-paris.com/ (from what i've read, ABP provides a variety of high quality straps)
http://www.thewatchboys.com/ (decent quality, decent price)
http://www.panatime.com/ (low cost alternative to breitling straps, however the quality is on par with the price)

Breitling also make a Lizard strap that will fit the chrono cockpit, but it also has white stitching.
