Hi, as I understand the spring bars for bracelets and straps are different. I have spring bars for bracelet and strap for my Emergency mission (also 22mm) however they are too thick for my navitimer bracelet. Does anyone know what size the spring bars are for this bracelet?

Also, are there any good non-breitling springbars to be ordered? My AD charges 30usd each.

Jonathan

$30 USD???? For a single spring bar?!?!?! Your AD is seriously taking the p*ss there I'm afraid!

Just give BUSA a call directly and ask them to send you a couple of the thinner bracelet compatible spring bars. They will probably send you them free of charge - BUK certainly do.

http://www.ofrei.com/page475.html

Only problem with Otto Frei (especially with small orders) are shipping costs.

I think that the bracelet ones are 1.6mm, but check that against the diameter of the ones that you have to see if it makes sense. Alternatively, measure the diameter of the hole in the bracelet and use that as the basis.

Sorry I didn't know you were in Sweden. When you quoted USD's in your previous post and didn't have a location under your username I just assumed you were based in the States.

(I still say your AD is being hugely unreasonable and profiteering wildly on this).

On my other post few days ago I got info on the springbars...you only need to specify the size (in this case 22mm) and if it is for leather strap or steel bracelet and it should fit without having to worry about the thickness.
The bracelet pins fit in leather strap but strap pins are thicker and do not fit into the bracelet.

I am afraid this is not true because I have bracelet pins for my emergency mission which does not fit the navitimer bracelet.

Hi Slan

The spring bars for a Navitimer are 1.5mm in thickness (actually measuring them with a calibrated digital vernire shows them measuring 1.47mm in bore diameter.) The length is obviously determined by the interhorn width. I appreciate what you say about shipping costs from suppliers but I have just had to buy some spring bars (ironically for my Old Navitimer) from a company in West Yorkshire in England, and had to pay £2.55 in postage for what was effectively a 90pence first class latter. So although I'm not best pleased it seems to be the way (They factor in insurace but to me that's still milking the shipping.)

If you wish to PM me, and can send me a reply paid addressed envelope you can gladly have a couple of the spare 22mm x 1.5mm ones I have.

Best regards
Gav.
