I never thought I would buy a Casio. But after reading on another forum about the G-Shocks I went to a store a week ago and bought this watch and I don't regret buying it. I use it everyday and I love it.
Maybe in a couple of weeks I'll buy the GX-56.
And what about my swiss watches? I'm not gonna sell them. I hate being so careful, so I decided to not use them.
I love using luxury watches, but if I have to be honest, the G-shocks are more my style.

The watch is what it is...a tool watch. Nice for what it is.

That will last for some time. Not quite as long as your swiss watches but it will take a beating.

My USMC friends swear by them.

right now am thinking of byeing a Casio Edifice Wave Ceptor Chronograph EQW-M1100DB-1AER - Advertised model wich i think is the newest model, but to be honest i think i like the older Casio Edifice Wave Ceptor Chronograph EQW-M710DB-1A1ER - Advertised model. better.. :D so maby i will bye that instead.
BUT, i know it will never beat a Swiss watch, i got 2 of them already, but i just like the design of the edifice Casio watches. What is your thoughts to the Casio edifice watches?

Mike.

They look huge, but how heavy are they? (And do you know size dimensions?) I've been thinking about getting a good digital watch.

BTW, Count, do you have a reference number for that behemoth?

Ok Count; if the G-Shock is more your style... What are you going to do about the Breitling tattoo?

If you start to sell the Lings, I will be in on that action!

G-Shocks are great. I have 3. If I could find one the same size as my Pathfinder, it would be perfect.

Jackson - they're not heavy at all. Moulded plastic, quite light actually.

My biggest one is a DW model. Its fairly large, but as Otto says, they are very light. Hardly scientific, but I just picked up my Skyland and G-shock which appear to be roughly the same size, and the G feels about 1/2 of the Skyland weight.

Pulling out a Planes, Trains and Automobiles quote, nice.

I have a G-Shick that I've worn for over 2 years in Iraq and haven't had any trouble with it. Well, I will say that leaving it locked in a truck when it's 135 degrees out for 2 hours ain't a good idea. I almost burned my hand off and the display didn't work until I got the AC going. Other than that it's worked flawlessly.

Casios are great watches. It was one of the first watches that my parents bought me when I was a child and wanted to read time for the first time. I ended up wearing that thing for years and still have it to some day give to one of my kids because its so cute and funny that I still have it around.

Good choice :D

Mudman watches are very tough and the one you have has a UTC\second time on the home screen function which is really handy when abroad etc.

I have around 30 G's of which I wear only a few. They're great though and as I have a 27 year old one (first one), I can tell you, they do last very, very well 8)
