Evening guys,

A friend of mine as purchased one of the above.
Can anyone help with information regarding the time the date changes when watch is running normally.
He seems to believe that it use to always change at 12 o clock exactly.
However he has noticed that it know changes at 10 minutes past midnight.
Which time is normal?
If 10 minutes past midnight is normal why?
If it is not does he have a problem?

Thank you in advance.

Colin

Thank you guys,

But why on such an expensive timepiece does it not change at exactly 12?
My own blackbird big date changes at exactly 12.
Is it something to do with the different movements.

Regards

Colin

thats a great question. with your friends chromatic was he watching the watch date change in real time or was he setting the time with the watch and the date changed after 12 am? because i think there is a difference. if he was setting the time and the date changed after 12 ask him to watch the watch at midnight and see if the date changes right at midnight.

It's the difference between the way that the date change mechanism operates. Some have a gradual process that is visible and ends (visually) with it clicking in, others are an instantaneous process.

Hi

My friend has been in touch this morning and would like me on
his regard to thank you all for the info its been a great help.

Also out of interest he informs me that the date changes just before
10 past midnight when done manually or in normal use.

Once again BS comes up trumps.

Colin

Not really - different base movements so they behave differently and the 7750 is a well known 'slow' change, but SA vs. B01 or Cockpit would be a better example.
