A few weeks ago I took a little visit to Govbergs in Philly. Noticed the new B01 Chronomat there and decided to try it on. Being that I own a Chronomat Evolution I didn't really anticipate anything to really be much different. After trying on the B01 it had great wrist presence which didn't surprise me :D .

AND THEN IT HAPPENED.... I thought I would turn the bezel for $hits and giggles... OMG! It sounded like a cheap little toy. The Chronomat Evolution I have bezel turns so smooth with nice little "click" sounds in between. I thought that would be the case for the B01 as well....BUT NO!

Very disappointing, because little things like that bother me and for such a nice watch I would have NEVER expected that!

Why is this and has anyone else noticed this as well?!

Never noticed that at all to be honest, and I've handled a few B01's.

Anyway, rotating bezels aren't actually meant to be rotated are they?!?

Agreed. 8)

BUT....Come on, its like nails on a chalk board compared to the Evo. Which I imagined before trying it on, would be the same.

Even George thought it was funny at Govbergs. I rotated it and looked at him immediately and said, "whats up with that?!" He replied, "I don't know". lol

Even though the odds of you really using it are slim to none. For Breitling to have that sound coming from THAT what is just ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, GREAT LOOKING WATCH. This may be a bad analogy but it is kind of like a Bentley having a crappy exhaust. Yea you dont have to step on the gas to really hear it BUT IT'S STILL THERE! ( I dunno i tried!) :D

If I'm not mistaken, someone else had the exact same impression as you about the B01's bezel, you just have to check the B01 threads posted.

Thats interesting, because in my opinion the B01 has the smoothest, best feeling bezel I have ever felt. 240 clicks of awesomeness.

By no means I said that I dislike the click sounds on mine :)

As I said before, I've never noticed a problem with it at all. The one's I've handled seemed fine. May be there was something wrong with the one George had......

It was brand new. Plus, apparently others have stated the same issues according to a few posts up.

It seemed to work fine in the store(don't get me wrong) but the sound was a bit odd.

I just did a couple of searches on here and couldn't find any info about cheap-sounding or noisy B01 bezels. (Not saying I haven't missed something of course, but it's not something I've come across).

I guess I'm just a bit surprised as every B01 I've handled seemed to have a fantastic bezel action, just like RJ said. Each to their own though I guess.

The "nicest" bezel of all my watches is actually a $300 Seiko! Leaves my B's for dead. It's got a lovely soft click to it while the B's all sound a tinny to my ear. I guess it just shows how much of this is about taste.

When I first handled the B01 (2009 model) one thing I noticed was the quality of the bezel. Very smooth, nice clicks... one of the best I've tried.

Yes my B01 bezel sounds cheap too!! Also a little to much play in the bezel for my taste. :( :x .In fact, the B01 bezel is the worst in all of my collection, incuding my $150.00 Seiko watch. My best sound and feel on a bezel is my Submariner followed by my BCE.
A couple photos.

btw, is it true that B01 case size is 43.5? i always thought it is the same size as Chronomat, 43.7

IMO, this is the best combo of the two, it makes your B01 stand out much better.
