There was also another one with Ray Liotta called Smith but I only ever saw about 6 episodes, in Singapore. Was it only a one series show any americans out there?

I was sure you were going to say Dr. Phil.

I love the HBO shows, Seinfeld, office, family guy etc. But 24 in it's prime, before they started running out of ideas and casting has-beens? There was a 3 year window where that show was unstoppable.

1. Star Trek: The Next Generation
2. Frasier
3. Stargate SG1

...I watch a lot of sci-fi. My Top Ten (probably even my top twenty) would be a mix of sci-fi and classic comedy (Friends, Seinfeld, Father Ted, etc.).

I feel television has become very disappointing since the long-running classic sci-fi shows went off-air...

I am doing 2 categories - Current, and old (relative to me, 28 soon):

Current:
Madmen
The Office
Community

Old:
Coach
Star Trek (TNG)
Saved by the Bell

and a bonus category, non-fiction:
Mythbusters
Stormchasers
Top Chef

Sorry for the rules violations, but 3 is just not going to cut it. Oh, and the DVR may be the best invention ever. Watching all the shows, without commercials, over the week. I really do get self conscious RE TV time, so cutting down on the hours, and increasing the content, is a great plus for me.

:yeahthat :yeahthat :yeahthat

I couldn't agree with you more Anez....I love Sci-Fi and do miss Star Trek TNG....also Babylon 5 was very good. I sure hope they come up with some good replacements. I also read quite a bit of fantasy and a mix of Sci-fi (almost all of the Star Wars series), I would also like to see some fantasy series on TV along the lines of The Wheel of Time, The Dragon Lance, Forgotten Realms, or Dungeons and Dragons series.

I really miss the good old sci-fi shows like Lost In Space, Battlestar Galactica (with Mr. Cartwright from Bonanza or Faceman from the A-Team), Space 1999, Buck Rogers in the 25th century, V, Logan's Run or The Twilight Zone of course.

But sci-fi "related" shows as well like Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The Avengers, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Six-Million-Dollar-Man, The Bionic Woman, The Wild-Wild West (initials are www  ), The Time Tunnel, or The Quantum Leap

Despite shows like NCIS or Stargate SG1, nothing is like the good old days. Shows that cost just a small fraction of what current shows do to produce.

Right now, my top three are as follows -

1. Sons of Anarchy
2. Entourage
3. Modern Family

Honorable Mention: Dexter, Eastbound & Down, Prison Break, Nip/Tuck, The Sopranos, Weeds
Old School Favorites: CHiPs, Night Rider, A-Team, Dukes of Hazzard

I've got to give The Wire a shot. I've heard nothing but great things about it.

Yeah, all those westerns remind me of when I was a kid and did not have the right to watch TV after 8 pm and I sneaked out of my room to watch these shows on the black and white TV that was in the living room and which I covered with blankets to minimize the luminosity and hence avoid being caught.

How so much different it is with today's kids
