I just noticed that while I was drooling on my keyboard looking at the JLC site the other day. Pretty cool...if you happen to own a DB9. JLC is the one watch company that I can think of that did the whole cross-brand thing with a car company really well.

That's all it does? One would expect more from a Bond watch :)

I'm waiting for a watch company to do a tie- in with my Toyota! :D

I often think that watch brands can be likened to certain car brands. So i tend to think that Seikos are the Toyotas of the watch world; reliable but never very sexy. Omega is the BMW; known by the general populace for a little bit of luxury without going over the top. Tags are like Porsche Boxters; everyone's seen them and knows them, but if you're really into it, you're not quite as impressed.

What kind of car is a Breitling (I think Bentley really is a mis-match for most of the B line)?

I agree that the practicality of this watch is limited to people who happen to own a DBS, but I do appreciate the innovation of putting an electronic transponder in a mechanical watch. I also like how JLC tied into Aston Martin by doing something more than sticking a JLC logo on the watch and calling it good to go. It also annoyed me that the article referred to it as the James Bond watch, where JLC's website makes no mention to James Bond and the only thing remotely connected to Bond is the fact that he drives a DBS, unless they actually released a version that is tied into Bond but haven't updated their website, I kinda doubt that though seeing as how Omega already cornered that angle with the current releases.
