Ok since being a member I've learnt not to mess with the date between 8-3 as it could mess up the cogs.

Just looked at my super avenger and the time stopped around 11.40pm and the date was halfway changing from 6 to 7.

Is it ok to leave as it is until I wear it next (three days time most likely) and then set the watch accordingly?
Or is it bad to let the watch rest with the date gears engaged?
Should I just wind time forward to change the date now?

Didn't think that by changing the date between midnight hours would damage the mechanism but rather alter the time the date switches in future.

Plain and simple.

As long as you don't change the date or move the time backwards between 8pm and 3am you're in the clear.

You can wait as long as you want and no harm will be done.

and you can just give it a wind if you can't remember which way to move the crown to forward the time.

Just wind the time forward whenever you want.
