HI Guys, been lurking but this is my first post.
Found this guy selling this Avenger Seawolf, but all attempts to get him to meet him at at authorized dealer for verification has been refused.
'Busy working and can only meet at night',
'Lunch time is no good as well, can't get away', 'What about off days? Its no good as well'.
I even offered to pick him up and drive him there during lunch to verify it.
But still no.
'Too busy'
Basically, it can't be verified.
FYI, i live in Singapore, a tiny island. Its only 42km wide measured length wise.
I am keen to buy this watch, but the behavior is weird.

Experts please help?

I am really a Chronomat nut and not all that familiar with this model, but to me the date font looks a little suspect. On Chrono's the "1" has a serif on the top, and this one does not. However, it may just be a difference in the model. Sorry I can't be of more help.

It looks OK to me. Does the seller have paperwork to accompany the watch? Does the serial number match the COSC and warranty book if he does?

Wait for some opinions from the other guys before you pull the trigger. I agree - odd behavior in the seller and the number one rule, as you are doing, is buy the seller first.

Edit: Had a second look at this and equivocating on the pearl. Looks wrong to me. Wait for some other opinions.

Well first red flag is the fact that he won't meet you.

Second, to me personally, the Breitling 1884 looks odd on the buckle. It is supposed to be angled like that but I'm sitting here looking at a Motors buckle and the spacing between letters seems different or something.

Pearl looks sunken and perfectly normal to me.

Fake has 300m on case back, not 3000m.

He has no papers, only come with box.
Thats why i thought it was weird.
Most of the time, the papers are kept in the box, why would someone have a box but no papers.
But well, it could be possible.
