Bought a new Navitimer 3 weeks ago and noticed that it's running approximately 2 minutes fast over the course of 3-4 days :(

I plan on going back to the AD but would appreciate any guidance as to what is going on with the watch. Hopefully, I didn't by a lemon!

Thanks.

Welcome aboard.
Did you buy from an AD?

hmm...that's around +30/day. Definitely an abnormality. Perhaps it was magnetized?

Don't put your watch next to speakers or cell phones - will get magnetized.
Wait for month-two to settle down, if it's still outside of COSC, take it to AD to regulate it under warranty.

As Bnewbie says wait to see if it will settle down to correct COSC specs. I have had several that when new, started out running crazy- usually fast- and then with time, have settled down.

Thanks, bnewbie.

Thanks, br549.

The freakout meter has gone down a bit. I'll give it a month or so and re-evaluate.

The power of the Breitling masses!

I highly doubt that it's magnetized - 30 seconds a day isn't enough for that (it would be minutes or potentially even hours fast).

As others have said, let it settle down for a few weeks and see what happens. Also, when you take it off at night, if you are currently laying it on its back change it to laying on its side crown up.
