Sergio, your collections is sick. I'm starting to live my watch collecting life vicariously through you -- it's a lot cheaper that way. :)

I have a question though. How does the gmt2c wear compared to the PO? I'm starting to like the new submariner but think it may be too small compared to my 45.5 PO and especially compared to the Motors T.

Thanks Pete! The GMT definitely wears smaller than the PO and is much much thinner. I was really worried about going down to a 40mm but it doesn't feel like 40mm, it wears larger on my wrist...I'm really happy with it.

if you're comfortable wearing a Motor T then the Rollies are going to feel microscopic to you. I love the new Green ceramic sub!

SOOOO... On Monday night while watching the Giants kick the Cowboys @$$ I decided to test out the chrono on my new preowned JLC Master Compressor Chrono, which i received 3 days prior, and to my surprise it DIDNT WORK....hmmmm. So while trying to figure out what's up....at 11:40 pm I noticed the date did a full 100% complete date change.....so I wound the watch forward and noticed that everyday at 11:40 pm the date wheel completes it cycle.

Alright.....I knew the JLC papers were dated 4/28/09 so the next morning I called JLC support and gave them the info and to my surprise the watch is OVER FIVE YEARS OLD!!!! The watch received a service in 2007 and was believed to be purchased in 2005. Apparently, the warranty certificate papers were forged.....At this point my blood was boiling as this was my first bad experience with buying a preowned watch and I was very concerned about losing a ton... (5 1/2 tons of)...cash.

I called the seller who happens to operate a watch selling business with his wife and has tremendously positive feedback on a lot of watch forums and the bay. I informed him of all the issues and thankfully he offered me a full refund and even paid for return shipping. I won't disclose the name of the seller because he sold the watch on consignment for a long time customer's brother and wasn't aware of all of the issues.....and I truly believe him.

So.... sadly the JLC went back BUT I scored a tremendous discount from my AD on a brand new one which just arrived today and it's awesome. I noticed that the new strap is thicker, the deployment now has a butterfly clasp with JLC engraved in it, and the compression-fitted chrono feels much more secure.....I'm almost doubting the authenticity of the pre-owned one that I purchased....it's certainly not out of the realm of possibility.

Lesson to learn guys.......make sure to do your research, buy from quality sellers, and be careful....if the seller wasn't reputable I could have been out $5650 on a broken piece of junk..

Here's the new beauty!

The new MC looks great Sergio...glad you were able to return the "preowned one" without and hassle. That could have turned out to be a really bad experience if you had purchased it from the wrong person.
