Thanks Roff, how does this moevement (685) compare to the ETA movements currently in the Breitlings? Or even Omega's Coaxial? Or does it compare at all?

Just my experience for what it's worth. Th elite movements in my Defys and the El Primero in my Chronomaster keep very good time - better than the COSC eta based Breitlings I have. Better than the COSC eta Chopards I have.

Buuuut - without exception the best time keepers are the Omegas I have. The Speedy Pros and the P.O. coaxial consitently are within 1 second/day.

That said, I enjoy setting my watches to Naval Observatory Atomic time, so playing with the Lings and others from time to time is no issue - I am such a geek. I don't buy any watch to keep perfect time. A decent movement is a given. After that it's all styling for me.

I cannot pass on longevity or durability of any of the movements.

Have you thought about venturing into the used market? This will allow you to get more "bang for your buck". Perhaps a used Breitling Navitimer?

No no no this one had to be a new watch. Im wearing the portofino and love it. In 3 days it has not lost or gained a single second. Im really impressed, none of my breitlings are this precise
