It's a short and it's alligator. Same strap manufacturer that supplies strap for PP, JLC, AP. Very supple. Only $275 my cost. The rubber strap/tang buckle for the Aqautimer costs more. :?:

It would look awesome on a WHITE dial YC too!

Which strap manufacturer is this?

I really like the look of your YC with that brown gator strap Shark!! Does the same deploy for the rubber strap work on the gator? It looks like the same one.

Yes, it's made for the YC (but the size is the same as the strap and deploy on the 7 Day, so I'm not sure how "special" it is).

Do you get them from a specific website or source?

Just my IWC AD. CF makes IWC's leather straps.

Well...Christmas came early for me. The Yacht Club came in and it's all I hoped it would be and more!! I'm very glad I decided to go this route. Oh yea...and I also picked up a used JLC Master Compressor Chrono. The bezel is a bit scratched with some light swirls; nothing my JLC AD can't buff out....I hope. It's only 18 months old and for the price I paid for it I couldn't go wrong. I'm very surprised how thin and classy the JLC is!! Very happy with the watch, slightly disappointed with the cosmetics but i'll survive.

2 great pieces Serge!! I love the brushed case on the YC, and I bet the white dial really gives you some serious wrist presence. I would love to see that brown gator strap that Shark got on yours...that would be killer.

That JLC really looks classy. I love all the watches in the Master Compressor line up, but this one probably makes the best dress watch in the MC line. Does it wear larger than its size? I think it is just under 42mm...right?

Your collection is really rounding out nicely...I like what you have done replacing some of the lings with other brands.

CONGRATS... :santa:

Thanks John.....the JLC is 41.5 mm and wears closer to 43mm. I love it....I just want to get it polished.

The YC is brushed on the side of the case but the top of the lugs and the bezel is polished. I love the contrast. As stupid as it sounds......the large red chrono seconds hand makes this watch! It's not such a sporty watch in person, it has a lot of dressy-ness (if that's a word) in it. I'm getting a brown gator for it tomorrow!!! I think it will look sharp and gives me some options.

Nice day, eh????

I really like the JLC MC Chrono and look at it every visit to the AD. But the next piece for me has to have serious complications and that means it will be a while for the next purchase. Well, except for the gently used Chronomat I got of a sales thead here today.

I'll just have to let the Chronomat and the Sinn, Deep Blue, and Skyland that came home from the black hole of shopland scratch the itch for a while.

Yes the alligator strap will do nicely on the YC and I completely agree the watch has more dress appeal in peson than sport appeal. Try as they might, IWC couldn't quite let go of the Portuguese in this Portuguese. Which pleases me. The rubber strap is the nicest I've worn, but it doesn't do the watch justice IMHO.

Congrats again!

That YC is unreal! Congratulations on both purchases. They are both beautiful watches.
Thanks for the pictures. Enjoy wearing the watch.

How comfortable is the band? Do you think it fits well with this high end watch?
