Sounds like a sharp gal you got there.

Pretty sure most everyone on this forum would have picked the shiny new toy

I'd have gone to Cosmotology School if my parents had included a car in the deal. Yeah, she's a fantastic young gal. She deserves someting pretty.

Can't go wrong with the happy diamonds Sharkie! Not at all glaringly blingy either imho. Just perfect!

hahaha, I can see it now, Sharkman the punctual beautician.

I know at 22 a new car would have been more than enough to sway my better judgment, but sounds like she is in this for the long con. Good for her.

Fast Forward 30 years...."Dad...you can go in the top notch, state of the art nursing home, or I can get you a Patek Perpetual Calender and you can go to you local old folks home."

PS I would take the watch

Exactly - I can drool on a Patek in a State run facility or drool on a Timex in a nice joint after water aerobics. Not even a close call!

Although the Patek's WR might not be enough for all the water aerobics you have in store

Awesome Shark, love your Past, present & future idea. Watch is going to last a lifetime I'm sure. Nice christmas present indeed :santa: . If I had a Dad that cool, wow! She is a lucky girl!

My Dad didn't even buy me a wedding present and his income is nearly 5 times mine! Can you adopt me along with all the other guys on here in line?

:nana:

I'm sorry but adoption is out of the question. But I am starting a cult in the high California desert. All comers are welcome, but you must eschew material possessions. I will "safeguard" your watches. We will all be wearing matching Nikes and running suits. It will fun - trust me.

I really like it, not a huge fan of the three diamonds at the bottom though. I am assuming she lives in a safer part of Manhattan? Being 22, I have noticed that a lot of women around my age, maybe a little older too, are really into the white Chanel J12.

Morningside Heights - upper west side. The diamonds float and spin when the watch moves. From normal distance it doesn't look too obvious.

Funny, I was looking at the Chanel white watches when the saleperson told me Chanel doesn't discount - period! I said, "How the hell does their watch division stay in business??" A tall blonde behind the counter spun around, glared at me, and looked away. The Chanel rep!! Ooopss.

Morningside Heights is nice; I live in midtown so at least she doesn't get all the tourists. I am assuming she goes to Columbia? She definitely made the right choice going to an Ivy League school, I chose going to a big college over Princeton and although I had a great time I certainly do regret it.

Picked up my daughter's engraved watch today. In addition to the white rubber strap, got this blue Chopard croco. What do ya think????
