I know many of you guys don't really go aftermarket on a Breitling... tbh I don't think I've seen any pics of Lings on aftermarkets on here (could be wrong though.

Anyhows, Can anyone recommend a decent aftermarket strapmaker/website?

I want to get a leather strap made up.
Two main reasons why I'm going the aftermarket path.

1. I don't like the OEM leather, I think there is too much of a taper and it looks a bit thin on the SA.
2. I Don't like the deployment on the leathers, I much prefer the DPII clasp.

Basically I want to get an expert strapmaker to make me two leather straps using the DPII as a template so I can fit the DPII clasp to it.
Really want a leather to dress the SA up now and again.

Sharkman pointed me in the direction of Stone Creek Straps, and while I haven't ordered from them I did see a custom strap fitted for a diver pro deployant on the website.

You should PM mfserge. He recently purchased a strap from Dangerous9 and was very pleased with it.

I'm very pleased with my dangerous 9 strap. John, the owner, will make it to your exact specifications. He sends a photo slide show when he's finished hand making your strap so you can view it prior to paying. I'll be buying another one in the next few weeks.

I found this website. Haven't bought anything from here but the straps look awesome! I am thinking about getting one when my new Steelfish arrives.

In the UK Toshi and SteveOStraps are highly recommended by a lot of people.

I have had straps from both and they are both good.

I recently had a strap from Southern Cross Leatherworks. They are based in Australia but price in US Dollars. He was doing a special promotion so I bought one. I think it is the best of the three. But I only have one strap from each to compare.

The majority of my non factory straps come from ABP - best quality out there in my opinion, but you pay for it.

I buy most of my custom straps from Banda.com. They can make just about any strap size out of any material to any specification and usually get it to you from Hong Kong in three weeks. I've had custom 22x16mm Navitimer 806 straps made out of lizard and Croc and also odd sized Bund style straps made from vintage style leather. They are really good and do a superb job.

I recently purchased a leather aftermarket strap from Heroic18, which I really like. It's also definitely more reasonably priced compared to some of the competition.

Other strapmakers I really like include Vintagestraps, Rob Montana and The Strapsmith.

I'd also recommend checking out strapaholics.com as there is some great information there.

+1 for stone creek straps as long as you don't mind waiting.
